WORLD'S FIRST SPREADSHEET
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What is the world's first spreadsheet?

Released in 1979 to run on the Apple II, VisiCalc, short for Visual Calculator, became the world's first spreadsheet.

VisiCalc was created by Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston based on the idea of a calculator where you could scroll back and forth through the calculations.

By being able to change just one cell to recalculate an entire sheet VisiCalc took 20 hours of work and turned it into 15 minutes. This justified the $3,000.00 price tag businesses spent on a new office computer.
