When was the world's first Rose Bowl?

The oldest and most famous of all the college bowl games is the Rose Bowl which is usually held on January 1st each year at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

In 1902, sponsored by local business leaders, the world's first Rose Bowl was held pitting the top college teams from the east and west.

Michigan defeated Stanford, 490.

It took another 14 years, until 1916 for the next Rose Bowl to be held.

Washington State knocked off Brown, 14-0.
