WORLD'S FIRST
ARCADE VIDEO GAME
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first arcade video game?
Are you ready for some excitement
boys and girls?
Here is
your chance to fly through space using two rotational buttons and a thrust
button.
When you
encounter up to two enemy space ships you can hit the fire button and blow them
up before they blow you up. As a bonus, on the two player version you can blow
up you friend before he blows you up.
You look bored, but if you were around in 1971 you'd be
rushing to the bank for rolls of quarters to spend on the world's first arcade
video game, Computer Space.
Computer Space was designed by Nolan Bushnell who later
went on to create Atari Inc.
Pong, released in
1972, was the first successful arcade video game.
Space
Invaders from 1978 was the first blockbuster arcade video game.
