CAMP CHASE
CONFEDERATE CEMETERY
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
The story of Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery.
Many cemeteries throughout the
world claim to have ghosts that haunt various locations throughout the
graveyard, but this one in Ohio has many witnesses that have stated the same
exact facts that it is impossible to ignore.
The Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery has a ghost
known only by the name of the “Woman in Gray”. She is dressed in what appears to
be a Civil War era traveling suit. Witnesses have seen her walking among
numerous graves throughout the cemetery. She walks along with her head bowed as
if she is crying. Many of those that have seen her feel her sadness.
In 1988 during a Civil War enactment that took
place, several of the people that came to watch heard the crying of a woman near
by. The crying only lasted a couple of minutes; however, no one could find the
woman that was crying. It is believed to the crying of the “Woman in Gray” that
all the sightseers witnessed on that day.
Not only does the “Woman in Gray” walk among the
graves, but also shortly after she vanishes, flowers appear lying next to the
tombstones that she visited.
This is only one account of the ghosts in
cemeteries. Traveling through America and visiting many Civil War cemeteries,
you may hear many more stories of ghosts and spirits that visit graves.
