THE GOLDEN NORTH HOTEL
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of the Golden North Hotel.

The Golden North Hotel in Skagway, Alaska is known for its residence ghosts in rooms 14 and 23.

Room 23 is where a woman stayed awaiting for her husband to return from mining for gold. She lived there pretty much in hiding from the scoundrels that lived in the area that would prey upon others and rob them of any gold they might have. She died of pneumonia before her husband ever returned.

This is the entity that is believed to haunt room 23. She is seen as a young pretty woman called Mary by all the staff. Mary has appeared not only as a glimpse but also fully to chambermaids and maintenance men. She has been seen staring out of the window of room 23 waiting for husband to come back.

Mary is not afraid of the living and must enjoy having her photo taken as she was seen in a recent photo of a singer visiting from Juneau that had his girl friend take his picture while standing in the hallway alone on the third floor. After the picture was developed, Mary could be seen standing right beside him.

Room 14 is another room that Mary seems to like. She also visits this room quite frequently.

Some guests staying in either room have felt like they were ill with a faint feeling coming over them, while others felt like they were having a hard time breathing as you would if you had pneumonia.
