The story of the screaming tunnel in Ontario.

If you are looking to find a ghost then there is no better place than the Queen Elizabeth Way in Niagara Falls. Here you will find an old railroad track and tunnel. In this tunnel is a small path that wanders through the tunnel and up a hill to an empty field.

Many years ago, on the top of the hill lived a happy family in a large farmhouse. Late one night, the farmhouse caught on fire. One of the young girls living in the home tried to escape the flames. The only way out of the burning house was through the front door covered with hot fiery flames. Through bravery the young girl covered her face with her hands and ran through the flames, however, the fire caught her long beautiful hair and her long flowing nightgown on fire. As soon as the cool crisp night air hit the smoldering flames on her clothing and hair they burst into more flames.

The young girl screaming in pain began running from the flames that were now engulfing her body. She wanted so desperately to get as far away from the burning house as possible. As she was running, she ran down the hill toward the tunnel. Upon reaching the tunnel, she tripped and fell into the tunnel under the train tracks. She rolled madly trying to stop the tormenting flames, screaming and crying in anguish, the flames were no match for the young girl and she succumbed to the fire. Here in this dark tunnel, the girl burned to death.

Today, anyone that has the nerve to light a match in the tunnel under the railroad tracks will be met with the terrifying screams of the young girl and a mysterious ghostly wind will blow out the match.
