The story of The Henslee Bridge.
The Henslee Bridge was featured on
Unsolved Mysteries during the mid 1970ís and to this day is still on the breath
of many that travel the dark and eerie road where Henslee Bridge is located on
Old Hwy 65 S., just south of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The pretty young teenager dressed in a white prom
dress soaking wet and hitch-hiking along the road has been seen by many
including high school principal, a police officer and a reverend of a large
Baptist Church just to mention a few.
The latest known person to care about the soaking
wet young girl was in 1967. The truck driver picked her at the bridge and she
gave an address in Little Rock as where she needed to go. The truck driver
obliged and drove to the address.
Upon arriving, the young lady did not leave the
truck. He proceeded up the walk and knocked on the front door where an elderly
lady met him at the door. He explained picking up the girl on the bridge and the
lady closed her eyes and whispered "Not again." She then explained how her
daughters had passed away around 20 years earlier in an auto accident on the way
to her senior prom and had drowned in the waters below the bridge.
When the truck driver returned to his truck, the
young girl had vanished and all that was left behind was a wilted corsage.
