THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of London Tower.

The Tower of London is perhaps the most haunted place on Earth. Today it’s a tourist attraction but back when it was built nine hundred years ago, it was a place where people were kept prisoner and executed. It’s said today that there are still many ghosts wandering the grounds among them are: Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey, Henry VI, Thomas A Becket, and Sir Walter Raleigh.

Anne Boleyn was ordered to be beheaded by her husband, Henry VIII, and it is said today that she can be seen walking around the grounds holding her head under her arm, her spirit surrounded in an eerie light. She’s often found in the White Tower or the Bloody Tower.

Sir Walter Raleigh’s ghost is said to reside in the Queen’s House, which is located near the cell he was held prisoner in.

Lady Jane Grey was killed at the Tower at the young age of sixteen. She was executed after watching her husband’s decapitated body being carried away. She can be seen around the Tower on the anniversary of their deaths.

Then there is the story of the Countess of Salisbury. Today it is believed that she was innocent of the crimes for which she was sentenced to death for in 1541. After being sent to the scaffold, she escaped and ran away where she was killed by the axe man. It is said that the ghosts of Tower Green still re-enact this gruesome story.

London Tower could possibly have the most ghost stories ever surrounding it. With such a terrible history, it would be hard to believe that it wouldn’t have a few stories tagged to it. Ravens still live around the Tower today and it’s said that once the ravens leave, the White Tower will crumble.
