LA POSADA
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of La Posada.

La Posada is a magnificent resort at 330 East Palace Avenue in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Prior to the Baca family purchasing the land, it has the scene of a variety of Spanish settlers farm land which can be dated back to 1610. The Baca family purchased the land in the early 1800’s.

A rich merchant, Abraham Staab built his mansion on the land in 1882, known as the Staab House. The Staab family did quite well until the death of their seventh child shortly after birth. Julie Staab, the wife or Abraham, could not bear the death of her child and feel into deep depression. She hid herself away in her room until she died in 1913 at the age of 52.

Ghosts?

Many believe that Julie Staab never left the mansion. She stayed in what is now room 256 until her death. Many have seen her still clinging to this room.

During the 1990’s, guests would see Julie drawing a bath in the middle of the night.

A workman had Julie overseeing him as he cleaning out the chimney in room 256.

Several have watched, as a black evening dress will float up the grand staircase.

Julie also enjoys sitting in the restaurant on the first floor in the early morning hours.
