KASTEEL HOENSBROEK
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of Kasteel Hoensbroek.

In the beginning, Kasteel Hoensbroek was nothing more than a stronghold around 1205, with very thick walls. The next century, duchess Johanna of Brabant gave land to knight Herman Hoen. He built a stronghold with a medieval round battle tower, which is still present today.

The castle has gone through various remodeling phases, add-ons, and has had quite a few occupants. The most famous occupant that is still searching the halls of the castle is only known as the blue lady. The legend of this ghost is that while she was alive and a resident of the castle, two of her children died at young ages. No one told her the children had died and secretly placed them in the walls of the castle. Today, she still searches for her children.

Many people that have visited the castle have seen the blue lady searching for children in the late night hours. One security guard heard furniture moving around coming from a room he had just visited, he went to investigate and the furniture had been moved, but no one was present.

The walls have not been checked to learn if there are bodies inside the walls. However, there is one wall that when tapped does sound hollow while all the other walls sound solid.
