THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of Squire's Castle.

Squire’s Castle can be found in Willoughby Hills, which is part of the Cleveland, Ohio Metroparks. The exact address is North Chagrin Reservation. The castle itself was never built only the gate house, which was three stories with a basement. The 1890 gate house was created with stone, Tiffany glass, carved moldings, and beautiful European furniture. The gate house was at the time built on the 525 acre estate of Feargus B. Squire.

Mr. Squire along with his wife lived in the gate house with plans to build an exquisite mansion. Mrs. Squire lost her mind while living at the gate house. After this, Mr. Squire lost all interest in building his mansion. He sold the property in 1922. The gate house was in ruins by the time the city of Cleveland purchased the property. The city has preserved what could be saved in which the first floor is used for various events.

The area around the gate house has been rumored for all kinds of scary happenings from gang hang outs to suicides. However, several people have spoken of seeing a woman staring out the second story window, seeing a red glow from a lantern in various windows, and the sounds of a woman screaming in fear in the late night hours.
