The Tower of London

THE TOWER OF LONDON
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of The Tower of London.

Of course, in a castle with a long history such as the Tower of London there has to be a few resident ghosts lurking around.

One such ghost is that of Thomas A. Becket. He appeared once to let construction workers know he was not happy with their being there and their plans for construction an inner curtain wall. He totally destroyed the wall to a pile of stones.

Queen Anne Boleyn is one of the most popular ghosts of the Tower of London. She was pregnant, learned that the baby she was carrying was a boy and would be heir to the Kings throne sadly miscarried. She was beheaded for adultery and treason. She has been seen walking the corridors of the Tower in the dress; she was wearing at her execution.

Countess of Salisbury was given the death penalty at the age of 70 on political grounds. At her execution, she refused to just lie her head down to be cut off, she ran with the executioner at her heals chopping her as she ran until she fell down dead. People have seen the axe hacking away as it did during that day of the execution at the same place that Countess of Salisbury was hacked to death.
