THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of Orpheum Theater.

The Orpheum Theater was built in 1928 and is located at 203 Main Street in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to the building of the Orpheum Theatre in 1921, another theatre sat on the same exact spot, The Grand Opera House.

When the theatre was the Grand Opera House, a young twelve-year-old girl was killed in accident in front of the hotel. Today, her ghost is present even in the Orpheum Theatre that was erected in the place of the Grand Opera House.

Witnesses have seen Mary sitting in the balcony, in the seat she always chose CF, dressed in a 20’s style white dress. She was also been seen dancing in the lobby, and she has made her presence known to a theatre workman and a housekeeper. Even though she did not actually appear, the workman felt her around him many times and described an "A cold, eerie feeling, like getting into a bathtub of cold liver." The housekeeper stated she would play pranks on her such as removing the housekeepers cleaning supplies and placing them in the commode.

Not only is Mary hanging around the Orpheum Theatre but there are other strange occurrences as well such as the theatre door opening by itself, a malfunction organ being repaired while the repairman was on a break, police with canine units arrived to check when the theatre’s alarm went off had to forget going into the theatre with their dogs, because the dogs would not bulge.
