The story of Chillingham Castle.
England has many castles from
several different centuries that dot the countryside. There are 1400 medieval
castles alone. Many of these have tales and stories of ghosts that haunt the
castles and the castles grounds. One such castle is the Chillingham Castle.
The Chillingham Castle is in the county of
Northumberland, which is in Northern England. This castle is known everywhere
for its famous ghosts. The most famous ghost heard in the castle is the Blue
Boy. Visitors can hear his painful cries around midnight from a passageway that
is close to one of the apartments, which now resides in the castle today. Some
believe not only do they hear his cries but believe he is also the reason for
the soft glowing light that seems to encircle the four-poster bed in a room
close by where an image of a small boy is often seen for just a few seconds.
The scariest part of all, is that in hidden in the wall several years ago near
to the sighting, the bones of a boy and pieces of blue clothing were found. No
one knows anymore concerning whom the boy could have been and why his bones were
hidden away, only the chilling screams out in the night give a clue to what
terror this boy might have endured.
