BROOKDALE LODGE
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
The story of Brookdale Lodge.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not helped
to increase the famous attributes of the Brookdale Lodge, which is located in
the Santa Cruz Mountains in Brookdale, California. This majestic Lodge was built
in the early 1920’s. One of the most interesting features of the lodge is that
it has a natural brook running through the dining room.
The lodge even though is it one of the most
beautiful lodges around still has a dark side. During the 1940’s many gangsters
and other notorious characters called the Brookdale Lodge home. During the dark
days, hidden rooms and secret passageways were installed throughout the lodge.
Stories began to be told of dead bodies being buried under the floors and a
small 6-year girl drowned in the dining room creek.
What ghost might you see when you visit the
Brookdale Lodge? The most famous is the little girl. She has been seen running
through the lobby by many guests. Voices have been heard along with music being
played in the distance, people eating in the dining can be heard when no one is
enjoying a meal, and several have witnessed a woman walking across the creek on
the bridge that once was there. The bridge was removed several years ago;
however, the ghostly woman still crosses over the bridge. These are just a few
of the ghosts that have been seen and felt throughout the Brookdale Lodge. On
your visit, you may encounter more.
If you dare to spend your vacation at the Brookdale
Lodge, do not mind the ghosts that are still calling this unique and beautiful
lodge home. They loved it so much that never left.
