THE WHITE HOUSE
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

The story of the White House.

Would you believe that the White House in Washington D.C. is haunted? Who would ever believe that the President of the United States is living with real ghosts and not necessarily ghosts of his pasts? These are real ghosts that wish to stay put in the White House long after their term of office is over.

There are quite a few Presidents of the United States still lingering on at the White House, maybe to help give their guidance to the newly appointed President or just because they wish to stay put.

President Harrison rummages through the attic, maybe he is looking for something he left there. Andrew Jackson still loves his bedroom at the White House. First Lady Abigail Adams has been seen floating in one of the hallways as if she were carrying something. The most seen President of the United States is none other than Abraham Lincoln.

Eleanor Roosevelt stated that she felt President Lincoln watching her as she worked in the Lincoln bedroom. Also during President Roosevelt’s term in office one of the clerks reported seeing the ghost of President Lincoln sitting on a bed while pulling of his boots. Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was visiting the White House when she was awakened by a knock on her bedroom door. She answered the door to find President Lincoln staring at her. Calvin Coolidge’s wife during his term noted seeing President Lincoln staring out the window towards the battlefields across the Potomac River, in the Oval Office with his hands clasped behind his back.

There may be more ghosts lingering around the White House. How many Presidents have stayed behind is a mystery and even more of a mystery is why they have not crossed over. Is their love and desire to protect America that strong to bind them to earth?
