The story of Raynham Hall.

If you are in for a spooky trip to England, then you need to visit Raynham Hall in Norfolk. Here you will find the ghost of “The Brown Lady”. No one knows the legend or why this ghost roams the area.

The very first time anyone noticed the Brown Lady was by Colonel Loftus when he was visiting Raynham Hall during the Christmas of 1835. As the Colonel was retiring to his room late one evening, he noticed a person ahead of him. He tried to get closer to see who or what it was when it vanished before his eyes. The very next week, the Colonel saw the woman again. His description was “a noble woman who wore a brown satin dress. Her face seemed to glow, which highlighted her empty eye sockets."

Not too many people that have seen The Brown Lady have told much else about her looks, where she haunts exactly, or if they have heard or seen any other strange occurrences. However, in 1936 the Brown Lady was captured on film and is believed to be one of the most authentic pictures ever taken of a ghost.

So, if you visit Norfolk, England, be sure to take along a camera, stay up late into the night, walk to your room alone, and you are sure to encounter the Brown Lady.
