What is North America's largest mountain?

If you find yourself in Anchorage, Alaska travel 130 miles north-northwest and you will come the the largest mountain in North America.

There is a bit of controversy as to the name of the montain. Originally it was called Denali, meaning 'the great one', but in 1897 the Mountain was officially named Mount McKinley, after U.S. president William McKinley.

In 1980 the Alaska Board of Geographic Names changed the name of the mountain back to 'Denali' but the U.S. Board of Geographic Names still considers it Mount McKinley.

Regardless of the name, North America's largest mountain stands to a majestic 20,320 feet or 6,194 meters ASL.

As tall as Denali is, it is only the 104th tallest mountain in the world.
