China is known as the world's deadliest coal mining
industry with fatal accidents occurring practically every day. The coal mines in
China may not always go by all the safety precautions when they push production.
However, Datong Coal Group in Shanxi province does not want the world to see
their mines as death traps.
On December 2nd, the Datong Coal Group held an
unusual wedding ceremony for 10 couples 1,000 feet down the pitshaft, hopefully
to change the image that most people have of coal mining.
"The weddings were unprecedented nationwide, even
worldwide," mine manager Liu Suisheng told the People’s Daily.
The brides did not seem to mind their extraordinary
wedding stating things like marrying in my fiancés workplace is special, I had
the desire for a unique wedding, and of course, having the opportunity to go
down in history.
After this wedding ceremony, the first stop was
