written about 600 BC.

well known fables are 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf', 'The Lion and the Mouse' and
'The Tortoise and the Hare'.
Since then the fables have been republished numerous
times including the version by Roger Culbertson which was illustrated by Peter
de Sève and is the world's largest pop-up book.
