What was the world's largest Millipede?

Today millipedes, at least the African black millipede also known by Giant Millipede and Tanzanian Giant Black Millipede are becoming household pets.

This millipede can be found in western Africa and usually eats bananas, melons, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, apples, and a few other fruits and vegetables.

Normally these millipedes only grow to be between 7.5 to 11 inches in length. However, Jim Klinger of Coppell, Texas has a record-breaking millipede that is 15.2 inches in length. He set the world record of the largest millipede on record on August 1, 2003. His circumference at the time was 2.6 inches and he had 256 legs.
