What is the world's largest beer festival?

The world's largest beer festival began in Munich, Bavaria, Germany on October 12, 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.

It is none other than Oktoberfest, 16 to 18 days beginning in mid October full of beer, food, beer, dancing and more beer.

Oktoberfest fest employs some 12,000 workers that serve up millions of pints of beer to the 6 or so million annual visitors.
