What was the world's largest gingerbread house?

It took 1,700 hours to build the world’s largest gingerbread house, which has been created by World Record Holder, Roger Pelcher and his team. The house has an area of 1,496 square feet and consists of 14,250 pounds of gingerbread and 4,750 pounds of icing. Also on the house are: 1,800 Hershey’s chocolate bars, 2,800 Pearsons Nut Rolls, 1,200 feet of Twizzlers, 100 pounds of large Tootsie Rolls, 300 pounds of DOTS, 100 twelve-inch Whirly Pops, 100 pounds each of Brach’s Star Brites Mix, Holiday Mix, Crimp Ribbon, Christmas Spicettes, and Christmas Nougats. Thousands of candy canes, provided by Farley & Sathers, also decorate the house. KKE Architects and PCL Construction Services have donated supplies and their time to the making of the house.

The house can be toured throughout the holiday season at The Park at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. Visitors are asked to bring a small donation and all proceeds will be donated to Sainte Therese Foundation.
