What was the world's largest banknote?

We just love looking at money so we have several records for the world's largest banknote as well as pictures money viewing entertainment.

In 1946 Hungary issued a 100 Million B-Pengo, which was the the largest circulated banknote at the time, unfortunately it was worth only about $0.20 USD in 1946.

Hungary also printed a 1 Milliard B-Pengo in 1946 but it was never released into circulation. The 1 Milliard B-Pengo translates into 1 trillion Pengos.

On December 23, 1993, the former Yugoslavia issued a new banknote to keep up with rampant inflation, the 500 billion dinar note, that's a 5 followed by 11 zeros, but shortly after cut of nine of the zeros. One of the 500 billion dinar note could have bought you lunch if you were very frugal.

To commemorate the Centennial of Independence in 1998 the Philippines issued a banknote 355.6 mm by 215.9 mm or 8.5 inches by 14 inches, the world's largest banknote in size.

Finally we have the American $100,000 bill, which to our knowledge is the banknote with the largest value. The note featured a portrait of Woodrow Wilson. The bills were used for intra-government transactions and were illegal to own by citizens. The bills were discontinued in 1940.
