The Atlantic giant squid lays claim to having the world's largest eyes which measure about 25 centimeters or 10 inches in diameter, about the size of a volleyball.

Back in 1878 in Thimble Tickle Bay, Newfoundland, Canada an Atlantic giant squid was caught with eyes estimated at 50 centimeters or 20 inches in diameter but were not sure if it had 20/20 eyesight.
