STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the world's largest bee?
If you have Melissophobia then stay away from the
Megachile pluto which can be found in in Indonesia.
In 1859 a single specimen of the Megachile pluto, the
world's largest bee, was discovered by Alfred Russel Wallace but it was thought
the bee was long extinct.
In 1981 biologist Adam Messer discovered six nests
on the island of Bacan and other nearby islands.
The female Megachile pluto grows up to 1 1/2 inches
long and has a wingspan of 2 1/2 inches, while the male grows to about 2/3 that
