The world's largest casino is the Foxwoods Resort Casino which is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

The Foxwoods Resort Casino opened it's doors in 1986 and currently boasts more than 7,000 slot machines, 400 tables for 17 different types of table games, including 100 poker tables, a high-tech Race Book, the world's largest Bingo Hall, the 1,400-seat Fox Theatre, over 25 restaurants, including Club BB and a Hard Rock Cafe.

Foxwoods covers 340,000 square feet of gaming space in a complex that covers 4.7 million square feet which attracts over 40,000 guests each day.

The hotel offers 1,416 guest rooms and suites, including the 824 room Grand Pequot Tower, 312 room Great Cedar Hotel and the 280 room Two Trees Inn.

Foxwoods is currently undergoing a $700 million development project, scheduled for completion summer of 2008 which will add almost 2 million square feet of overall space.
