What was the world's last dodo?
The dodo was an ugly flightless bird that lived on the
island of Mauritius.Dodos were about
three feet high and weighed about 50 pounds.
Dodos were quite isolated and thrived on the island
of Mauritius until they were hunted into extinction in the late 1600's.
The last dodo was believed to be eaten in 1681
by Dutch settlers that came to the island.
