was fought in Texas.Although the battle
resulted in a Confederate victory it had no outcome in the Civil War as
Confederate general Kirby Smith surrendered his Texas armies on May 26.
The Battle of Palmito Ranch was the last battle
fought in the American Civil War, resulting in 130 soldiers either killed or
wounded.
