The world's Longest concert

THE WORLD'S LONGEST CONCERT
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the world's longest concert?

The question should be what was, what is and what will be the world's longest concert. Unfortunately it won't be completed for another 636 years, but at over 3 years long it still is the world's longest concert.

Composed by John Cage 'As Slow As Possible' (ASLSP) began September 05 2001 in an abandoned church in Halberstadt, Germany scheduled to end 639 years later.

The notes are played on a specially designed organ where notes are held down by weights.

Since the original composition, which was meant to last 20 minutes, started with silence, it wasn't until February 2003 that the first notes were actually played.

The longest concert by a group was held February 20 - 22 2004 when The Grand Boys played at Smith's Restaurant in the UK for 42 hours and 38 minutes falling just short of the 48 hour mark they had set.
