What was the world's longest swim?
There are two ways at looking at this
record but they were both set by the same person so either way Slovenian Martin
Strel made the world's longest swim.
In 2001 Martin Strel swam 504 KM or 312 miles down the Danube river. He covered
the distance in 84 hours 10 minutes of nonstop swimming.
In 2002 Martin Strel swam the Mississippi river, a
total of 3,885 KM or 2,360 miles. He covered the distance in 68 days.
