THE WORLD'S LONGEST WINGSPAN
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the world's longest wingspan for an airplane?
The Spruce Goose, a HK-1 flying boat, was built by the Hughes Aircraft
company and flown only once in 1947 by Howard Hughes for
about a half mile.
The wingspan, a goosey 320 feet.
Just for comparison, the longest wingspan of a production aircraft is
that of the Russian Antonov An-225 "Mriya" with a wingspan of 290 feet.
