Easy, the New York subway system is, by
far, the world's longest subway.
The New York subway system now has 714 miles of track with the longest subway
line, the ‘A’ Eighth Avenue Express, taking up over 32 miles.
For some brief history: The
New York subway opened as
the Interborough Rapid Transit (IRT) subway in 1904.
The London Underground comes in a distant second with just
over 250 miles of track.
