Speedway in Los Angeles along Route 66 in hopes of winning the $25,000.00 grand
prized offered in the Great American Foot Race.

only 3,422 miles away.
26 1928, after 84 days, a 20-year-old Cherokee named Andy Payne won the the
Great American Foot Race.
Every year since 1986 the The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team holds the
Self-Transcendence 3,100 Mile Race, which is the world's longest certified foot
race as well as the longest annual foot race.
