This may sound fishy but a whale shark,
(Rhinodon typus), is not whale, just a big
shark and it's the world's longest fish.
Whale sharks often grow to 45 feet and 15 tons.
The longest recorded whale shark and thus world's longest fish was caught off
the Gulf of Thailand in 1919 and was quite the plateful measuring 59 feet.
