On December 11, 2004 a bunch of people
lost confidence in there government in Bangladesh and decided to protest.
In all over five million people showed up, not to riot, but to hold hands,
forming a human chain stretching from Teknaf to Tentulia.
The world's longest human chain spanned an impressive 1,050 kilometers or
just over 650 miles.
The human chain could have been even longer, but in the two days prior to the
hand holding over 1,000 activists were arrested in an attempt to thwart the
