Notes: May 22 1963 at Yankee Stadium Mickey Mantle connected with a pitch that sent the ball rocketing out of the stadium...almost. It struck the facade just a few inches from the top and bounced back into the infield. Through complex computer calculations, it has been estimated that the ball, had it cleared the facade, would have traveled 734 feet.
Some more notes: Mark McGuire's longest home run was a mere 545 feet, May 16 1998 in Busch Stadium, St. Louis.
