THE WORLD'S LONGEST DISCUS THROW
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

How long was the world's longest discus throw?

Way back in 1912 American James Duncan set the first official world record tossing the discus 47.58 meters.

On June 06 1986 German Jürgen Schult threw a discus in Neubrandenburg, Germany.

It spun and flew and spun and flew and covered 74.08 meters or 243 feet  0.5 inches setting the new record for the world's longest men's discus throw.

The record for the longest women's discus throw is held by Gabriele Reinsch of East Germany with a toss of 76.80 meters.

Now we know you're thinking that 76.80 meters is more than 74.08 meters and according to our math teacher you are correct, so here's the catch; Women throw a 1 Kg discus while the men throw a 2 Kg discus.
