Who has the world's longest NHL contract?

On September 12, 2006 24year old goaltender Rick DiPietro re-signed with the New York Islanders for 15 years, inking his way to the longest NHL contract ever.

Rick DiPietro will receive $67.5 million over the 15 years or $4.5 million per year up until 202, now that's job security.

The previous longest contract belonged to Alexei Yashin who signed a 10 year deal in 2001 worth $87.5 million USD.
