Frieda Ireland and Carroll Damron of
Chicago are the proud owners of the world's
largest cat, Leo.
On March
10, 2002 Leo officially measured a furry 48 inches or 122 centimeters from nose
to tail and weighed a doggone 35
pounds.
Leo is a Maine Coon cat which in itself is one of the largest breeds of domestic
cat.
Now if you expected the world's longest cat to have a long name then you won't
be disappointed, Leo is short for
Verismo Leonetti Reserve Red.
