On March 14, 2009 the New Jersey Devils defeated the Montréal Canadiens  2-1, giving Now Jersey's goal keeper Martin Brodeur his 551st win, tying him for the record.

Just 3 days after tying Patrick Roy's record, on March 17, 2009, in their next game, the New Jersey Devils met the Chicago Blackhawks in New Jersey. The Devils won the game 3 - 2 giving Martin Brodeur his record setting 552nd win.
