The record for the most goals
scored in a single game dates back to January 31, 1920 when Joe Malone was key
in his Quebec Bulldogs defeating the Toronto St. Pats 10-6.
During the game Joe Malone managed a devastating 7
goals, actually putting the puck in the net 8 times, but one was disallowed.
Amazingly, barely a month later, Joe Malone recorded a 6
goal game helping his Bulldogs defeat Ottawa 10-4.
