THE SECOND WONDER OF THE WORLD
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the second Wonder of the World?

When people refer to the Seven Wonders of the World, they are generally referring to the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which were natural objects or structures that were considered to be mind-blowing. The wonders have never officially been numbered although they do generally follow in the same order.

It is by this order that the second wonder of the world can be determined to be the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Nebuchadnezzar built these gardens himself in 600 BC for his wife, Amuhia although it’s also thought that the Assyrian queen, Semiramis, also had something to do with the gardens. The gardens no longer exist but it’s thought that they were built on the roof of a vaulted building, to allow for rising water and that the terraces were thought to stretch from 75 feet to 300 feet.

This second wonder is sometimes replaced with the Walls of Babylon although this sometimes replaces the seventh wonder.
