Gagarin, aboard Vostok 1, became the first man to reach space, Gherman Titov
became the second man to do so.
On August 6, 1961, aboard Vostok 2, Gherman Titov
reached space, making 17.5 orbits before returning back to Earth on August 7,
1961.
The entire mission
took 1 day, 1 hour and 18 minutes.
Gherman Titov, did claim one first while in space, he
became the first person ever to suffer from space sickness.
