Who was the second son of Princess Diana and Prince Charles?
Part of what made the picture of
Princess Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles seem so perfect while it lasted was
the birth of both of their beautiful sons, both now heirs to the throne. First
the world celebrated the birth of Prince William and then two years later, on
September 15, 1984, came the next joyous birth, Prince Henry of Wales, or more
commonly referred to as Prince Harry. He is not only the son of the royal couple
but also the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, and this places him third in line
for the throne. He lives in the United Kingdom at the House of Windsor and is
mostly involved with the UK although the throne oversees 16 independent states.
After his official schooling in the United Kingdom,
and after travelling for a year after secondary school, he decided to join the
military instead of attending university as his brother, Prince William, had
although he did serve with his brother for a short time while serving as part of
the Blues and Royals as a second lieutenant for the Household Calvary Regiment.
It was also here that he finished his training to be a tank commander. Prince
Harry made massive headlines after it was revealed that he had served for 77
days on the front lines of the Afghan War. Once there was so much media
attention placed on this fact however, Prince Harry was pulled from service.
Between the two brothers, Prince William has
received most of the media attention however Prince Harry has been in the papers
for more than just his military service. He has also brought attention on him
with some ill-thought remarks that were thought to be racist. Neither of the two
however, has had anything truly scandalous in their past personal or dating
lives.
