Choe Myong-Hui competed in the 1980 summer games in Moscow boasting a height of 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighing a record setting 55 pounds.

Chinese gymnast Lu Li has the distinction of being the world's smallest Olympic medal winner.

At the 1992 Barcelona Games Choe Myong-Hui, all 4 feet 5 inches and 79 pounds of her, captured a silver medal.

Aileen Riggin was the 1920 springboard diving champion and although she was taller, she only weighed in at 70 pounds.
