WORLD'S SMALLEST SNOWMAN
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What is the world's smallest snowman?

If you’re one that likes to beat records and you’re considering trying to beat the record for the world’s smallest snowman, then your front yard is the last place you want to be. Not only is the world’s smallest snowman not even actually made from snow, but you’ll also need to go to a lab to create anything like it. Or to even just see the one that’s currently in existence!

The world’s smallest snowman was built at the National Physical Laboratory in December 2009 and it’s so small that it only takes up 1/5 of the width of a human hair. Scientists created the snowman using two tin beads that are otherwise used to calibrate electron microscopes. These tin beads were then welded together with platinum and of course, the entire image was digitally enhanced so that the work done in the lab could actually be seen by the human eye!
