WORLD'S SMALLEST ELEPHANT
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the world's smallest elephant?
Elephants may be known as the
largest mammals on the earth and related to ancient huge mammoths, but they also
have members that are quite small in comparison – The Bornean Elephant.
The Bornean is the world’s smallest elephant
species. These elephants are the focus of a study conducted by a Cardiff
University in Sabah, Malaysia and will be ongoing for the next three years.
The elephants have now been confirmed to be a
separate sub-species. At this time, the Bornean elephants are the world’s most
endangered species of the elephant family. There are only known to be around
1,100 to 1,500 existing in the wild today.
