The Crux Australis or the Southern Cross is the
smallest constellation. It has an area of .016% of the sky and covers 68.477
square degrees. It has a shape unlike any other and is included on the Australian
National Flag.
This unique constellation can only
be gazed upon from the southern hemisphere of the Earth.
