Looking up at the stars is a great past time and many people can recognize the different constellations they see, however, one might not recognize the smallest constellation of all times, unless you knew exact where to gaze.

The Crux Australis or the Southern Cross is the smallest constellation. It has an area of .016% of the sky and covers 68.477 square degrees. It has a shape unlike any other and is included on the Australian National Flag.

This unique constellation can only be gazed upon from the southern hemisphere of the Earth.
