What is the world's smallest sea cucumber?


The smallest sea cucumber, the Rhabdomolgus rubber, can be found in the North Sea and in Brittany along the French Coast.

This smallest creature is only 10 mm or .39 inches in length. It has an elongate body, which is worm like and has an intense red color.

The Sea Cucumber has 10 finger like tentacles and tube feet. The skin of this Sea Cucumber does not contain calcareous deposits. It can be found living on coarse sand, not buried in the sand like other Sea cucumbers.
